Sankar Sundaresan
Founder and CEO

Sankar Sundaresan has extensive experience creating, launching and scaling multiple SaaS and Cloud Services businesses from scratch. Before founding SkyGeni, Sankar was the VP of Product at TriNet. Under Sankar’s leadership, TriNet launched several new offerings including Workforce Analytics to deliver superior visibility and insights, and eventually to improve customer lifetime value.

Prior to TriNet, Sankar was an EIR at Voyager Capital. Before joining Voyager, Sankar was the General Manager with P&L ownership for multiple new product lines at HP including SMB Cloud Solutions and DreamScreen. During his tenure at HP, Sankar led several product, strategy and technology teams. 

Sankar holds 8 US patents and graduated as valedictorian of his MBA class from the Haas School of Business at UC, Berkeley. He also holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Texas A&M and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India.

Ajay Dhar
Co-founder & CTO

Ajay Dhar is a seasoned technologist with leadership roles at companies ranging from early stage startups like Molekule, to Verifone and HP. Ajay is driven to solve complex business problems by creating elegant, scalable solutions with data. At Molekule, Ajay led the rollout of their data and eCommerce platform.

At HP, one of Ajay’s many accomplishments include driving the development and rollout of a big data platform that gathered and analyzed data from millions of consumer devices in the field. The predictive analytics and insights that Ajay’s team generated drove several key decisions including cross-sell / upsell and product design improvements to improve Mean Time Between Failures.

Ajay is a US patent holder and graduated from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India with a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Jayanth Raman, Ph. D.
Head of Machine Learning

Jayanth Raman is a machine learning and data science specialist with a keen focus on unearthing actionable insights from data. As Head of Machine Learning at Groupon, Jayanth and his team created significant new revenue streams applying ML in use-cases ranging from dynamic pricing to digital marketing and merchandising.

Prior to Groupon, Jayanth held senior technology and machine learning roles at companies such as Wize/Nextag, Yahoo!, Nuance Communications, and Lucent Technologies / Bell Labs. Jayanth also co-founded and served as VP of Technology at Versay Solutions, where his team delivered automated speech recognition solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

In addition to authoring a number of peer-reviewed research papers, Jayanth holds a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.

John Turner
Advisory Board Member

John “JT” Turner is passionate about building go-to-market strategies and scaling sales organizations. Energy, storytelling, and creating focused execution out of chaos are his strengths. JT builds and leads organizations to achieve breakthrough results using a playbook called the Victory Plan and the Lighthouse training program he wrote. He is an angel investor and serves as an advisor to several early stage startups.

JT’s career highlights include incubating and growing the Enterprise Global SaaS GTM Team for a Cybersecurity project at Google X from just 5 people to 100+. JT was part of the executive team that took TriNet public, and the team that drove one of the largest enterprise software mergers in history. 

JT received a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and was a four-year “walk-on” to the NCAA Division 1 basketball team. He contributes his time to several non-profit organizations dedicated to serving people experiencing homelessness and illness.

Kathy Chou
Advisory Board Member

Kathy Chou was recently Senior Vice President of WW Sales Strategy and Operations at VMware. Before joining VMware, Kathy was SVP of Sales Strategy and Operations at Informatica, and prior to that VP of Sales Operations and Strategy at Intuit and VP of Sales Operations and Strategy at HP.

Kathy currently serves as Vice Chair of the Stanford International Research Institute in Social Sciences (iRiSS), on the Board of Regents and Engineering Advisory Board at Santa Clara University and is the development/strategy chair for the Asian Pacific Fund. The Silicon Valley Business Journal selected Kathy as one of the Top 100 most influential women in 2011, she was awarded the distinguished 2013 Stanford Medal, the 2020 YWCA Women Leadership Award and in 2021 was awarded The Most Powerful & Influential Women Award from the California Diversity Conference.

Kathy has been a featured speaker at key industry events including the Alexander Group’s Chief Executive Sales Forum, Women in Technology (WITI) and at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Santa Clara Leavey School of Business. Kathy holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard University, a master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. She resides in the Bay Area with her husband and four sons.
